Marcia Pledger
Marcia Pledger is the new Editorial and Engagement Editor at the Jacksonville Times-Union. She is the first woman and first person of color in this key role in Florida’s largest city.
She’s an author and content creator with 30 years-experience covering local and national stories on topics as diverse as racial issues and homelessness to cannabis, technology, opinion pieces and small business challenges.

Including a 10-year column and book called “My Biggest Mistake...and How I Fixed It,” Marcia has spent most of her career working as a business journalist. She’s passionate about sharing stories of reinvention.
