Dear Professional Mentorship Leadership Program Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the Metro Atlanta Women of Color Empowerment Institute Professional Mentorship Leadership Program!

We are accepting applications from professionals who are between the ages of 25-40 years of age and have leadership aspirations in any sector, including: academia, business, community service, law, healthcare, technology, civic and government. Up to ten (10) individuals will be selected to join the program. If selected, the cost of the program is $150 which covers membership for 1 year. Payment can be paid online and must be received in full by March 20, 2021.

The program length is six months and will run from March 25, 2021 through October 2021(Graduation date TBD). Mandatory meetings will be held monthly on the fourth Thursday from 7:00pm - 9:00pm with the kickoff meeting on March 25th, 2021.

APPLICANTS MUST:

  • Show interest in or hold a current leadership position in a professional and/or civic organization.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to improving the community through active volunteerism, and/or service.

  • Have an Interest in membership with WOCEI.

  • Commit to participation in the entire WOCEI leadership mentoring program.

  • Attend all scheduled meetings.

  • Complete the application below and submit it by January 29, 2021 6pm EST.

SELECTION PROCESS:

  • All applications will be reviewed by the Metro Atlanta Mentorship Committee.

  • All applicants will be notified of their application status by March 1, 2021. 

  • WOCEI is committed to cultural, geographical, racial, ethnic, professional and economic diversity. All applicants who have demonstrated leadership skills and talents will be considered.

MENTOR AND MENTEE COMMITMENTS:

  • Mentors and Mentees must commit to connecting by phone or virtually twice per month.

  • Mentors and Mentees will determine topics of focus based on professional development, interests, and goals of each participant. Some topics may include: enhancing communication skills, job/internship search strategies, community engagement, and networking.

  • Mentors shall commit to volunteering monthly with Metro Atlanta Women of Color Empowerment Institute.

Interviews: February 8, 2021 - February 18, 2021

Notification to Mentees: March 1, 2021

Membership dues: March 20, 2021

Kickoff and Orientation: March 25, 2021
